Last updated: February 23, 2026
1. Refund Policy
General Policy: Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. However, we review refund requests on a case-by-case basis for exceptional circumstances.
How to Request: Email us at [email protected] with your account email and explain your situation.
Processing Time: If approved, refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days. Depending on your payment method, it may take an additional 5-10 days for the refund to appear in your account.
All amounts are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified.
2. What's Not Refundable
- Renewals: Monthly or annual subscription renewals
- Partial Months: We don't prorate refunds for partial months of service
- Upgrade Differences: Differences paid when upgrading to a higher plan mid-cycle
- Abuse: Accounts that have violated our Terms of Service
Definition of Abuse
Refunds may be denied in cases of demonstrated abuse, including:
- Requesting refunds after consuming more than 50% of monthly generation credits
- Pattern of repeated refund requests (more than 2 in any 12-month period)
- Downloading generated content, then requesting a refund for the same period
- Account sharing or resale of generated content prior to refund request
3. Subscription Cancellation
How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by emailing [email protected].
Continued Access: When you cancel, you'll continue to have access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period. Your subscription will not renew.
Your Content: After cancellation, you keep full rights to any music you generated during your subscription. See "Access After Cancellation" below for details on download access.
Access After Cancellation
- Immediate cancellation: You retain access to all features until the end of your current billing period
- Generated content: Previously downloaded content remains yours to use per the license terms
- Account data: Your account and generation history remain accessible for 30 days after your subscription ends
- After 30 days: We may delete your generation history and stored content. Downloaded files remain yours.
3.1 Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge through your bank or credit card company (chargeback) instead of contacting us first:
- Your account may be suspended pending resolution of the dispute
- You may be liable for chargeback fees if the dispute is resolved in our favor
- We reserve the right to collect unpaid fees through appropriate legal means
We encourage you to contact [email protected] before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the issue directly.
4. Plan Changes
Upgrades: When you upgrade to a higher plan, you'll be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle. Your new features are available immediately.
Downgrades: When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You'll keep your current plan features until then.
5. Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions receive a discounted rate (equivalent to 2 months free). Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after purchase.
Cancellation Before Renewal: To avoid being charged for another year, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. You can find your renewal date in your account settings.
6. Generation Credits
Monthly Reset: Generation credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
No Credit Refunds: We do not provide refunds for unused generation credits.
7. Technical Issues
If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using Music Genie, please contact our support team. We may offer service credits, extended subscription time, or other accommodations on a case-by-case basis.
8. Failed Payments
If your payment fails, we'll attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times over the following 7 days. During this time, your access may be limited.
If all payment attempts fail, your subscription will be cancelled automatically. You can resubscribe at any time with a valid payment method.
